It was a day hike, I left around 04:30 or something like that... I got to the top in about three hours and it took me about two hours to get down. I got back around 14:30. Then I drove home. Pretty simple.

More mountains... getting kinda' sick of walking uphill at this point...
This is what the trail looks like, pretty nice... cept the rocks really suck on the way down because they are hard and provide your knees with no cushioning.
Sorak falls. It's roped off. I just climbed over the rope and started exploring.
just over two kilometers go to... now we're getting somewhere...
alright, the last .5 kilometers... piece of cake.
Breaking through the tree line. Not that we're that high up but the trees can't survive the harsh winter winds so at the tops of most mountains there are no tall trees...
At the top, look westward towards Seoul... if you look really hard, you still can't see it in the background...

This is looking northeast, the sea coast is off to the right.. and the famous inner section of Sorak mountain is where all those jagged rocks are.

I don't know how you avoided being eaten by that mountain yeti...he looked quite rabid, with those sharp and pointy teeth.
Am I going to see a video of this harrowing encounter on "when animals attack" on Animal PLanet? Will you be famous? Can i have your autograph??

I'm no Korean expert, but I believe those squiggles say "Beware the vicious mountain yeti (that is camouflaged as a common chipmunk)." Had you or those poor children read the sign, you would not have had to run for your life. I'm just sayin'.
