Chiri mountain... part II

Hey ya,

Went back to Chiri mountain for an overnight backpacking trip. Left on Tuesday morning... around 4:30 in the morning. Got to the northern entrance of the park around 9 or so. The plan was to hike up 6 kilometers to the ridge then travel along the ridge to the shelter just below the highest peak on the mountain. Then hike the peak in the morning and then come down and drive home.

Here is a large pool of water on the ascent. I'm going to try and come back here in the winter for a polar plunge.

This is a picture from the ridge-line.

The furthest peak is Cheongwong peak, the highest point in South Korea outside of Cheju island.

A tree that someone forgot to water.

More trees that someone forgot to water.

Snow! Not much, but enough to make me get excited about snowboarding. I got a Giro snowboarding helmet and some new Burton cargo pants. Totally sweet.

Video from Cheongwong peak. Enjoy.
